I am so shocked to see some idiots are still displaying those long affiliate URLs. For example, let’s say you subscribe to this blog’s affiliate program (I don’t have one though), probably your URL would be something like http://www.earnonlineblog.com/affiliateID=12324244?.php . If you use that link to go and promote somebody else’s products, I would have to start calling you an affiliate loser.

Now, I am in a very bad mood right now and I just kicked my 40” Toshiba LCD because I spilled my water, so don’t make me hit your head. Thank God with me here, you will be introduced to some pretty easy and nice ways to mask your affiliate links.

Here are ways to help you to mask your links:

1 – Go to your FTP program and create a PHP file at the location where you want your link to be. For example, let’s say you want your link to be www.earnonlineblog.com/hostgator.php. So, after the public_html folder, create a php folder and paste this code inside:

Title

You are being taken to Affiliate Program.
If the page doesn't load after 5 seconds,

Change whatever is neccessary. (Yes, I meant the URLs!)

2 – Use URL Cloacking software

Most likely you won’t have them. I have one myself and it costs me a pretty hefty price. You can simply google them as they are pretty common nowadays. It’s not worth it though. So, don’t waste money to buy them.

3 – Use websites like TinyURL.com

I don’t want to confuse you here but you can simply go there URL shrinking websites like TinyURL.com to shrink and custom your URLs.

4- WordPress plugin

I found a pretty good plugin that will mask your affiliate link. Try it if you are using WordPress.
